The Four Accords©, were published in 1997 and have sold approximately 9 million copies. It has been on the New York Times bestseller list for nearly a decade. Everything we do is based on agreements we have made – agreements with ourselves, with other people, with God, with life. But the most important agreements are those we make with ourselves. In part 1 of this 2-part video, we learn about the “domestication” of man and how all the rules and values of our family and society are imposed on us by a system of punishment and reward. As young children, our true nature is to love and be happy, to explore and enjoy life; we are absolutely authentic. But then we learn to be what others think we “should” be, and because it`s not acceptable for us to be who we are, we start pretending to be what we aren`t. When we are teenagers, we have learned to judge ourselves, to punish ourselves and to reward ourselves according to agreements we have never chosen. The Four Accords help us break self-limiting agreements and replace them with agreements that bring us freedom, happiness and love.

That is why it is so important to be impeccable with our word and become a spiritual warrior. We must learn to control our emotions so that we have enough personal power to change our fear-based chords, escape hell, and create our own personal paradise. A boy decides to get married. She feels that she and her spouse have similar beliefs about marriage. But after a few months of marriage, he begins to understand that his hypothesis was wrong. Because of this belief, a conflict arises in his relationship. When the husband returns from work, he learns that his wife is angry for some reason. But he never understands the reason for his wife`s discontent. The wife always expects her husband to know everything without informing the husband, as if he could read her mind. But if the husband does not meet such expectations of his wife, the wife becomes discouraged and angry.

As a result, there are misunderstandings and mutual differences between them. Our minds always want to be safe. For this he clarifies everything and tries to explain everything. Many questions appear in our mind at the same time, but even after trying, many questions are not answered. At such a time, whether the answer given by the mind is correct or not, it does not matter to him. But our minds respond. It makes us feel safe and that`s why we make assumptions. When the other person has said something, we make a new impression by removing the meaning of their words as we want. This is true, but even if the person opposite doesn`t say anything, we also make sense of their non-talk and make assumptions. Have the courage to say what you want. Everyone has the right to say yes or no.

Just as you have the right to ask questions, everyone has the right to ask you questions, and you have the right to say yes or no. If you don`t understand something, ask for it again without making assumptions. The day you learn to speak clearly and accurately instead of making assumptions, you will be freed from the emotional poison that day. He could understand everyone very well, but no one could understand him. They believed he was an incarnation of God, and he smiled when he heard that, and he said, “That`s right. I am God. But you are also God. You and I are the same. We are images of light. We are God. But people still didn`t understand it. He had discovered that he was a mirror to the rest of the people, a mirror in which he could see himself.

“Everyone is a mirror,” he said. One day, while sleeping in a cave, he dreamed that he saw his own body sleeping. He came out of the cave on the night of a new moon. The sky was clear and he could see millions of stars. Then something happened in him that changed his life forever. He looked at her hands, felt her body, and heard her own voice say, “I am of light; I am made of stars. This realization changed his life. Once he knew what he really was, he looked around at others and the rest of nature and was amazed at what he saw. He saw himself in everything – in every human being, in every animal, in every tree, in the water, in the rain, in the clouds, in the earth.

And he saw that life mixed the tonal and the naguale in different ways to create billions of manifestations of life. Everything is God. And he came to the conclusion that human perception is only light that perceives light. He also saw that matter is a mirror – everything is a mirror that reflects light and creates images of that light – and the world of illusion, the dream, is like smoke that does not allow us to see what we really are. “The real `we` is pure love, pure light,” he said. Then he realized that even though it was made up of stars, it wasn`t those stars. “I`m between the stars,” he thought. So he called the stars the tone and light between the stars the nagual, and he knew that what created harmony and space between the two was life or intention. Without life, the tonal and the nagual could not exist. Life is the power of the Absolute, the Supreme, the Creator who creates everything. This is what he discovered: everything that exists is a manifestation of the one living being that we call God. A man goes to a Buddhist monastery to get rid of the sufferings of his life, he saw a Buddhist guru in the monastery, he asked the guru, if I meditate four hours a day, can I get salvation by getting rid of my sufferings? When you saw him, the Guru said, “If you meditate four hours a day, you will attain salvation in ten years.

The man felt he could do better. So he asked, Guruji, if I meditate eight hours a day, how long will it take me to attain salvation? The Guru told him that if you meditate eight hours a day, you will probably gain salvation in twenty years. When the person heard this answer, he was shocked and began to think, why should it take twice as long to meditate more? The Guru replied, “You did not come here to dedicate your life.” Your goal behind coming here is to live a life full of happiness and love. If you dedicate eight hours of the day to meditation instead of doing two hours of meditation in a better way, nothing but fatigue will come and you will lose the joy of living. There comes a time during meditation when the energy received will inspire you to live your happy life. But if you try to meditate for a long time, you will also waste that time. Even if you meditate for a short time, do your best. It will fill your life with love, happiness and enthusiasm. He saw himself in everyone, but no one saw him as himself. And he realized that everyone was dreaming, but without consciousness, without knowing what they really are. They couldn`t see it as themselves because there was a wall of fog or smoke between the mirrors.

And this smokescreen was made by interpreting images of light – people`s dream. Then he knew that he would soon forget everything he had learned. In part 2 of this 2-part video, we learn about the book of the law that governs our mind and the inner judge that makes us suffer because we can never measure ourselves against our “image of perfection.” All our normal tendencies are lost in the process of domestication, and we begin to look for what we have lost. We seek freedom because we are no longer free; we seek happiness because we are no longer happy; we seek beauty because we no longer believe that we are beautiful. What we are looking for is our “self”. With practice, the Four Accords help us regain our “authentic self,” and this is the greatest gift we can give ourselves. He looked at the stars again and realized that it is not the stars that produce the light, but the light that creates the stars. “Everything is made of light,” he said, “and the space in between is not empty.” And he knew that everything that exists is a living being and that light is the messenger of life because it is alive and contains all the information. Do nothing less or better than your best. If you try to do better than your best, then more of your energy will be wasted and the work will not be as you wanted to do. But if you work less than your skills, then you feel disappointed. This way, you start testing yourself.

So, the simplest thing is to always give the best of yourself. . He wanted to remember all the visions he had had, so he decided to call himself the Smoked Mirror so that he would always know that matter is a mirror and that the smoke in between prevents us from knowing who we are. He said, “I am the Smoking Mirror because I look at you all, but we do not recognize each other because of the smoke that separates us. This smoke is the dream, and the mirror is you, the dreamer. » The four PDF agreements downloaded by Don Miguel Ruiz. The problem with most people is that they lose control of their emotions. It is the emotions that control the behavior of man, not the human being who controls emotions. When we lose control, we say things we don`t want to say and do things we don`t want to do. THREE THOUSAND YEARS AGO, THERE WAS A PERSON LIKE YOU and ME who lived near a city surrounded by mountains. Man studied to become a healer, to learn the knowledge of his ancestors, but he did not completely agree with everything he learned. In his heart, he felt that there had to be something more.

. Whatever people say, do or think; Don`t take these things personally. If they think you`re a good person, they don`t think about you. Because you already know you`re a good person. There is no need for someone else to come and tell you your own kindness. Don`t take both the good and bad things that are said by someone personally. .
